My submissions for my FMP/D projects are tomorrow, so I thought today I will finish things off and render out 8k pictures of my level. One thing I noticed was the image were brightening up during the render, and completely getting rid of the blue lighting.
I have spoken loads before about how I wanted the clear difference between the two colours and how it worked so well. But now because of rendering that’s going. I am going to spend some time trying to figure out what’s wrong and why this is happening.
I just wanted to make this post to let you know what’s going on and to show you the difference.
Unity Game View (what it should look like):
This isn't a huge issue as the image still looks great, but the lighting isn't as I wanted it to be. If I can't seem to fix it then I am still happy with what I am submitting.
Update: So I have found the issue after searching for a couple hours, for some reason the rendered images are ignoring the ambient oclusion (shadows) that I have put on using Post Processing effects. I'm not sure why this is happening so I am going to re-bake the lighting again and hope that this fixes it.
Update #2: After spending a day try to figure out what was wrong I could find a solution. So what I decided to do was re-bake my whole lighting which took 2-3 hours, and then I reset the ambient oclusion and re did that. The effects aren't as good as they used to be so I am going to keep on trying to fix it and see what I can do with it.
