Lighting Test #1

The past few days I have been working on the lighting for my level, I have been going back and forth with how I want things to look but I have reached a good base point. I was originally going to have just the rays from the 'sun' come through the window but then I decided to add a little beam to the interior lights. I wanted to make the room feel dusty, so I added a thin layer of fog to give the impression. Having it too thin means you can hardly see it but having it too thick is way too much.

I know this is going to take some time to get right, but it also prolongs the process when I have to do a 4 hour bake each time to see how things look. It is getting there slowly, and I should have it done within the next couple days. But the creative instincts inside me will always find things to change or things to improve because that’s the sort of person I am. Also if you see any random little white dots in the pictures, those are the dust particle effects from before.
